I received my bachelors of Social Work from Salisbury University and my masters degree in Social Work from the Catholic University of America. I received a post-graduate certificate in trauma treatment from The University Of Maryland. I am also an approved supervisor for other therapists who are just getting started in their careers, or are looking for a mentor. I believe that individuals of all ages can benefit from therapy; my goal as a therapist is to create a supportive environment in which my clients feel safe and can do the work necessary to overcome roadblocks to feeling happier and more fulfilled in their lives. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, individual adults, couples, and families. My specialities include: Adolescent and Adult Survivors of Physical and Sexual Abuse, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Self-Injurious behaviors (including eating disorders, self harm, and addictions), Family and Relationship Issues, Grief and Loss, Divorce and Blended Family issues, and LGBTQ. I use a mixture of techniques to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, and mind/body modalities. These techniques are all research based and effective for making a change in your life. I am an interactive solution-focused therapist.
