She received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Dickinson College, and Masters and PhD degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Geropsychology at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center. Dr. Spayd is board certified in Geropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. She previously worked as a rehabilitation psychologist, then developed and served as Clinical Director for PathWays, an inpatient and partial hospitalization program for geropsychiatric patients. Since 2000, she has worked in private practice, now specializing in psychological evaluation and testing.
