My name is Katie. My passion is helping individuals struggling in their daily lives by providing skills and individualized treatment plans to support you in your healing journey. Mental health is a key component to caring for yourself as a whole and I strive to meet you where you are on this journey, non-judgmentally and clinically. I provide Individual, group and family therapy as forms of treatment modalities. I utilize CBT and teach skills from DBT to help clients adjust to difficulties and challenges in their lives while utilizing the Strength's perspective. I received my Masters of Social Work at the University of South Carolina in 2012 and BA in Psychology from Coastal Carolina University. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker, Clinical Practicing. Clinical social work is a specialty practice area of social work which focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental illness, emotional, and other behavioral disturbances.
