Introduction

I am Dr Catherine MacLennan, licensed psychologist in Washington State. I provide Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, individuals, and families. I have had extensive post graduate training and continuing education, including in EFT, which is the most advanced, evidenced-based, therapeutic model to help you change. EFT has merged study of attachment theory and science in order to better help couples, families, and individuals change the patterns that you have co-created in your important relationships. This will help you feel more safe and secure, and will reduce attachment based distress and trauma related stress and symptoms. EFT can help you find a felt sense of secure attachment in connection with others and find an integrated sense of self that empowers you in the face of life’s challenges. I provide telebehavioral health care and am a Level II Board Certified Telehealth provider with Telehealth Behavioral Institute (THBI) since March 2020. I have been an expert witness, have done psychological evaluations for family courts, criminal courts, and disability.
