I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship and a safe environment are central to the healing process, and I make it a priority to create that space with each of my clients. As a licensed clinical counselor, I have worked with a wide range of clients in a multitude of settings, including community mental health, court-ordered treatment, private practice, and group therapy. I come from a diverse professional background, beginning my professional career as a Special Education teacher, to later directing a non-profit that helped women entrapped in sex-trafficking and addiction. Working with people who have been confined by societal and man-made bounds has made me incredibly passionate about helping people in finding freedom so they can thrive in life. I been practicing sex therapy for three years and have found my niche in working with sexual assault survivors, people experiencing sexual pain/dysfunction, and people wanting to explore their sexuality in a safe space. It is my belief that sex is meant to be an exciting and fun way to connect with partners but brokenness in our world can lead to sex being painful, triggering, shameful, and dividing. My goal is to assist in breaking down barriers, to teach you language to have honest dialogue with partners, and to help you find freedom in your relationship with yourself and others. As a sexual assault survivor, I know the incredibly difficult work that is involved in the healing process. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you seek and explore what healing and freedom look like for you.
