My name is Cassandra Reidt. I have been practicing since 2019 and recently obtained full licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy in November of 2024. My area of focus is couples and families, as my strengths, are communication and relationship issues. I also work with parent/child dynamics, as well as individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and grief. I have taken an interest in working with those who have gone through trauma and plan to continue my education in trauma. I have a background in Christian Counseling and can integrate Christian principles when a client is interested in incorporating Christianity into their treatment. The age ranges of individuals I work with are broad, ages ten and older. I gravitate toward CBT methods, although I have been known to integrate techniques from DBT, ACT, and MI when working with individuals. I move between EFT and Gottman methods when working with couples. As for family therapy, I am particularly fond of Virginia Satir's method in Transformational Systemic Therapy. I take a creative, yet direct approach to counseling, and design a treatment specific to the individual, couple, or family I work with to best meet their unique needs. I understand and value individual differences and do my best to make solid, authentic connections with all my clients. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor to effective treatment.
