Introduction

Hey there, and welcome! I am Casey West, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who has a passion for helping others see the beauty of who they were created to be. So often we believe the lies we've heard, which leaves us feeling like our pain and brokenness define us. We can easily feel "stuck" in parts of our story; as though we are unable to move forward. My work focuses on processing and challenging the negative thoughts that have become the lens through which we view ourselves and the world around us, along with developing healthy new patterns for living. I have over five years experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, problematic behaviors, stress management etc. I use a trauma-informed, but integrated approach in my practice to best meet the needs of the individual. I believe that true healing and identity comes from the Lord, and that we are all 'image-bearers' of God, created in His likeness and of the utmost value and worth. While the world, our past trauma, the abuse of others, or our negative view of ourselves constantly try to tell us that we are 'less', God is calling us to 'more' - in believing that we are created and loved by Him. (Although this viewpoint informs my practice, I see people from a variety of backgrounds and would never want to impose my beliefs on anyone.) You are seen; you are valued; you are loved. I would be honored to walk alongside of you during your journey. [imago Dei (latin): "image of God"; ALL humans have equal, inherent value, and were created to be image-bearers of God - Genesis 1:26]
