"ITS OKAY TO BE SCARED, BEING SCARED MEANS YOU'RE ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING REALLY, REALLY BRAVE." Mandy Hale. Sometimes people struggle with the idea of going to see a therapist and finding the one that is right for them. Having rapport with your counselor is the most important thing. Once there is rapport with your counselor, the conversations will not feel forced/coerced ...you get to be in the present and work on why you came to therapy to begin with. Each person is unique, so I will use a variety of techniques to meet your presenting issue. I have a strong passion for working with children, adolescents, and adults either individually, groups, couples, or as a family. My job is to give you a safe, comfortable place to express yourself without judgement. I am an attentive listener and respond with honesty, insight, intuition, kindness and humor. My strengths include: working with moms during the perinatal journey, adolescents (often I use art, play or music in our therapy sessions), working with parents, working with adults, individual issues, depression and anxiety, anger issues, motivation, academic success. I am also a former School Counselor.
