I believe that prioritizing self-care lends itself to a more balanced lifestyle and can prevent dis-ease and dis-order. Most children, adolescents and a lot of adults associate self-care merely with hygienic practices. A lot of work can be done in simply learning how to care for your mind as well as your body. I am a therapist as well as a yoga instructor and incorporate a mind-body approach to my therapeutic work with clients. If you are ready to take a step in the direction of self-compassion, you've come to the right place. I am both a mental health and substance use disorder therapist; therefore, I can see people with one or both of those disorders. I draw from mindfulness based practices, somatic work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) . I would love the pleasure of working with you individually, with your partner, and/or with your family. Please don't hesitate to give me a call to set up your free 20 minute consultation.
