Introduction

I have the honor of sitting with others in some of their most vulnerable states, hearing common themes of negative core beliefs that are contributing to their overall symptoms and emotional suffering. A few of these I hear often are "I am not good enough, I have to be perfect, I can't trust anyone, I can't handle it, I am not safe, I am permanently damaged." These are just a few out of a long list of negative beliefs my clients learn to work through to relieve their emotional suffering that may be manifesting in their current life as anxiety, depression, chronic pain (somatic issues) or difficulty in their relationships. My areas of interest include women’s issues, mood and anxiety disorders, stresses of parenthood, identity issues, adult attachment issues, and all degrees of trauma, from a single traumatic incident to chronic and complex trauma throughout the life-span. I am a certified EMDR (Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist and utilize this treatment modality as my primary framework with my clients. I strive to utilize a compassionate approach with my clients with the primary intent of creating a completely non-judgmental and collaborative atmosphere for my clients to feel safe and comfortable in the therapy session.
