Introduction

Hi, I'm Carrie! I’m a therapist, writer, and speaker. I’m also a mom, friend, and daughter. The art of “healing” has become my soul’s passion. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The University of Saint Mary and am licensed in Kansas (LPC) and Missouri (PLPC). The more I learn, the more gratitude I have for creating a career where compassion is the compass guiding my passion. I blend my formal training with my own life experiences to help women of all ages define and discover their own extraordinary stories. Are you walking through a season of grief + loss? Are you worried about your biggest fear happening? I know that feeling: depression, anxiety, and excessive worry. Seasons of uncertainty can be terrifying. And, when living through tragedy is your only option, making it to the next day can feel like a marathon. Friend, you don't have to walk this journey alone. My life experience and professional training have equipped me to come alongside others in a season of despair. Together we can cultivate the tools for rediscovering joy, confidence, self-esteem & purpose. Healing is hard work, and you are worthy of feeling free to live fully. Empathy, vulnerability, and safety are necessary for holding space for healing and trust. I believe that you are your expert. And that it is a privilege to be welcomed into your journey. Being rooted in a client-centered & positive psychology approach means I believe in your strengths and will come alongside you. We will walk through this together. I believe in people, humanity, healing, and the ability to overcome what feels impossible. Your feelings are valid and are a compass for guiding us through the therapeutic process. Together, we will safely embrace your healing journey. Life is the occasion, and, friend, you belong here. There's room for you here on, The Porch Swing, where healing happens.
