I'm a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Relationship Psychotherapist, and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, committed to helping women and couples create healthy lives, deeper connection and loving relationships. I believe that healthy love ultimately starts with a healthy you. By attending to your own health and well-being, you can learn how to take good care of yourself first, practice self-compassion and create more meaningful relationships in your life. My individual work with women includes helping them adjust to change and transition, find their voice in difficult relationships, recover from betrayal, reduce stress, anxiety and burnout and help them embrace their evolving sexual selves. I also enjoy working with committed, motivated couples who want to feel more connected, get their spark back and create sex worth wanting. Through my direct yet compassionate approach, I teach concrete relationships skills that helps couples get their needs met, emotionally, physically and sexually. My personal mindfulness practices and professional work have shown me how adapting a mindful lifestyle can help ease suffering, open one's heart to love, increase stress tolerance, decrease anxiety and strengthen resilience. Ultimately I've has seen how these practices help individuals & couples deepen connection and live more fully. I've received a Certificate of Completion in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Training Program based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and have completed 60 hours of Svaroopa Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. I've also received Certification from the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia, a relational therapeutic modality rooted in phenomenological, present-moment awareness, whole body experience, deep respect for the other and creativity. In addition, I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, NJ, Clinical Licensure in Social Work, Clinical Certification in Sex Therapy from the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and Certification in Clinical Social Work Supervision from the National Association of Social Workers.
