I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (MFC44169), a California Registered Art Therapist (06-006), and a certified Brainspotting therapist. I obtained my M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Art Therapy from the University of Notre Dame du Namur in Belmont (2001). In addition to my private practice, I have over 20 year’s professional experience in the management of teams and programs focused on mental health and wellness in a K-12 educational setting. I provide Clinical Supervision to graduate student Trainees and post-graduate Associates working towards their licensing hours. I offer professional development trainings on Trauma Informed Practices and the Trauma Resource Institute’s Community Resiliency Model. My areas of expertise include trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, relationships, parenting/co-parenting, and grief/loss. My approach is guided by Humanistic Existential principals. My focus is strength-based, with special attention to our nervous system as a guide to our emotional world. My interventions are eclectic and tailored to the needs of my clients. My country of origin is Peru and have lived most of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area. I support my clients as they examine their needs, struggles and pain through a compassionate and loving framework.
