My role is to be a compassionate witness in honoring your lived experiences, while helping you to peel away some of the protective layers to reveal the inner strength and wisdom that lies within you. I have specialized interest in supporting individuals who identify as highly sensitive. My experience includes supporting those with histories of trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, complex family dynamics, PCOS, PMDD. My approach to therapy is holistic, intersectional, and trauma informed. I integrate mindfulness and somatic -based practices to support individuals experiencing chronic anxiety and distress. My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. I am a Level 1 trained IFS therapist. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Chicago. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I spent four years in Chicago working as a school social worker. Together we can create a safe container to be with and move through emotions, challenges, and even successes. There’s even room for play and humor in the process. In a collaborative & nurturing space, we can be present to exploring experiences, processing feelings, and growing self-compassion. I am licensed to provide therapy in the state of Illinois, including the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs.
