Hi, I am Carmen Saenz. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been a provider since 2011. My journey began working with at-risk youth. Throughout my career I have also worked with youth within the foster care community, young-adults, families, and individuals navigating life transitions, struggling with symptoms of depression and anxiety. My therapy approach is influenced by evidence-based practices that co-exist with compassion and self-acceptance. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy also known as CBT allows us to explore what am I feeling, thinking, and doing while also asking is that really what I want to do? This approach helps shift the mindset to lead clients out of negative self-talk that manifests in unhelpful behaviors and feeds the depression as well as the anxiety individuals experience. As a result, clients are able to build the relationships they would like to have with themselves and others. These skills built through CBT have helped individuals cope with life transitions, such as the birth of a child, getting married, death, divorce, and day to day stressors. Having me as a therapist means having a listening ear, a collaborative partner, and a professional to share as well as teach skills that will be helpful time and time again. You will be meeting with a provider who has a vast experience in providing therapy services to individuals experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety, anger management, imposter syndrome, grief, divorce, communication and relationship challenges. If you are in search of hope, support, and a safe space we are a match. Together we will build the skills to create the meaningful and fulfilling life you desire. In therapy we will process experiences, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors with curiosity and compassion.
