I earned my M.S. in Family Therapy from Friends University. I also received my B.S. in Psychology and Human Services from Friends University, along with a minor in Religion. My previous work experience includes working in a local church counseling center, working as a therapist case manager at a residential treatment facility for adolescent girls, teaching parenting classes for a local pregnancy crisis center, and working as the Center Director at Brain Balance of Wichita. While completing my certification in play therapy at the KC Play Therapy Institute, I also enjoyed leading therapeutic play groups at preschools and working with mothers on attachment-based play therapy activities in order to help facilitate secure attachment relationships. More recently, I have spent the last few years working largely from a neuroscience and brain development perspective. I am trauma informed and regularly work with others on nervous system regulation. The importance of involving body work, especially in cases with trauma, is extremely important. This is what led me to join the team at Guide MindBody Therapy. I work with adults, couples, families, and children ages 10 and younger. If you are looking for this type of an approach, I would love to come alongside and support you on your journey toward healing and health.
