Introduction

My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed. I work with individuals age 18+ who are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma (CPTSD and PTSD), sexual and gender identity, cultural/systemic/internalized oppression, eco-anxiety/grief, life transitions, as well as career and relationship struggles. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities to ensure that we can work together in a way that best supports your unique needs and goals, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Humanistic and Existential Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Ecotherapy, and Experiential/Somatic Therapy. Carla earned her MA in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University, Seattle, and received her BA in Ecopsychology & Equine-Guided Education and Therapy from Fairhaven College at Western Washington University. Over the past eight years she has gained experience working in a variety of different mental health settings with youth and adults experiencing a wide variety of emotional, relational, and life struggles. She has completed additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Trauma Therapy, and Equity Skills for Clinicians. Carla is currently working towards earning full licensure as an LMHC-A.
