Carla has been a therapist helping individuals and families since 2007. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor through the State of Florida and she earned her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is trained in Cognitive Therapy at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy, and she is a certified Life Coach. She has also worked in a clinical hospital setting offering therapy to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Carla is certified in Brief Strategic Family Therapy and she has has worked with many families offering them practical strategies to manage daily life stressors, and maintain healthy relationships. As a mother of a child with special needs, she understands the complexities involved with raising a family.
