I obtained my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Manhattan College and a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Elon University. While in my master’s program I worked at a community outpatient clinic for children and families in the Bronx, New York. During this time, I worked with children and adolescents suffering with emotional and behavioral difficulties. I also have experience working at an outpatient behavioral health center for adults with chronic mental illness, such as depression, bipolar, and schizophrenia/psychosis. In addition, I have worked in private practice with children and adolescents. In this practice, I conducted parent trainings and individual therapy. My focus and experience includes working with children, adolescents, and young adults who may struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, low self-esteem, and adjustment to life transitions. I utilize various techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, and Psychoeducation. I provide a safe space for my clients through Trauma Informed Care and a Strengths-Based Approach.
