My approach to counseling is eclectic, pulling from my belief that each person is unique, highly valued, and has the capacity to overcome hardships, pain, and despair. I explore how thoughts, beliefs, and emotions impact personal well-being and the health of our relationships. My lived experiences and Christian faith have shaped and molded me to understand that we need healthy emotional connection, and to understand where we are going, we need to know how we arrived at this crossroad. I view the most critical factor of successful counseling as the therapeutic relationship built on trust, acceptance, honesty, and emotional connection. It is through this relationship that change begins.
