Candace was born and raised in South Dakota. She currently makes the Northern Rocky Mountains in Wyoming her home. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals and their families navigate through mental illness(es) and the societal stigmas that can come with mental health concerns. Additionally, in her free time, Candace enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, downhill skiing, yoga, baking, gardening, preserving food, and most importantly being around those that she loves. Candace serves those who are reaching out for help regarding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) throughout all areas of life, anxiety, stress management, depression, emotional regulation, anger management, impulsive behaviors, adjustment concerns, personality disorders, substance abuse, and Military PTSD. Candace is heavily specialized in working with those who suffer from PTSD and how it can impact one's life mentally, physically, and emotionally. Candace attended the University of South Dakota for her undergrad and Walden University for her graduate degree. Candace has an array of knowledge after working with individuals and groups in an inpatient and residential treatment programs. Candace is passionate about providing a patient-centric approach within a therapeutic relationship and has experience with Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and interpersonal and assertive communication training.
