Introduction

Hello and welcome to my page! I'm Dr. Candace Cardin - a Clinical Psychologist, licensed in NC and FL. I have been practicing psychology for almost fifteen years. I enjoy working with adult (18+) individuals. I am at ease working with younger adults as they forge their paths into adulthood. On the other end of the spectrum, I appreciate the opportunity to accompany older adults as they navigate later life transitions. I'm also experienced working with professionals balancing work, life, and family demands. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I use a person-centered/humanistic approach to assist individuals who are seeking personal growth. I will help you explore, without judgement, your inner world, and the impact on your daily life and relationships. I am also trained and certified in several evidence-based therapies, which offer a more structured and time-limited approach to treatment to specific diagnoses. Specifically, I offer Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression (IPT-D), and Image Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) for nightmares. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral theory and provide related CBT interventions. I look forward to learning more about how I can help you, via the free (15 minute) consultation call that I offer.
