Greetings, I’m Callie! If you’re here, you are likely seeking solace and healing from the challenges of life, and you may be considering support on your path to well-being. Let’s face it, life can be hard! We all face overwhelming times at some point, and having a safe space to process our experiences can be vital in our personal growth and healing. Whether you are facing life transitions, challenging emotions, specific mental health conditions, or seeking healing from painful experiences, you are in the right place. I can offer a safe space for you to share your life experiences, your pain and joy, tears and laughter, and strengths and growth edges. I received my undergrad degree from Ottawa University and spent six years as a social worker working with at-risk populations. More recently, I am a graduate of Mount Mary University, and hold a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I have one year of experience working with diverse needs and conditions as an outpatient psychotherapist. I have experience with trauma-focused healing, cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT skills, mindfulness, anger management, attachment challenges, family issues, life transitions, depression, and anxiety. I take an eclectic approach as each person is unique in their lived experiences and how they view healing and growth. I place great emphasis on collaborating with clients as I believe they are their own experts. By finding the most fitting approach to our work together, the client can feel empowered in making decisions based on their needs and strengths. I believe the relationship between counselor and client is most powerful. When people feel they are in a safe and trustworthy space and can lean on our relationship, that is where the magic of healing blossoms. Using genuineness and unconditional positive regard for my clients, I always strive to be a person that provides a welcoming and warm space for others.
