Nate Porter, LCSW is the owner of Blackbird Counseling. He received an MSW degree from BYU and has received ongoing training in attachment, experiential, and play therapy approaches. Nate loves playing and watching sports, and is a passionate Utah Jazz fan. He competed in track & field both in high school and college, and has spent time as a therapist and coach, guiding athletes towards improving and developing mental health. Kailon Davies, CSW received an MSW degree from Utah State, and has also received ongoing training in attachment, experiential, and play therapy approaches. Kailon loves outdoor recreation, especially rock climbing, canyoneering, and camping. She loves learning from natural everyday experiences and this drives her experiential approach. She spent time as a recreational and clinical therapist guiding clients towards well-being. At Blackbird we focus on creating a therapeutic environment that is fun, engaging, and open to our client's experiences. Our clients often report they look forward to therapy and that it helps improve their quality of life. We love seeing our clients move towards and through challenges, emerging on the other side more confident in themselves.
