Introduction

It is important to find a therapist who works for you, both relationally and financially. I see adults, adolescents (11 and older), and couples in person and online. Please reach out if you are curious to learn more -- I am committed to helping people find a good fit for their needs! In my work, I draw from interpersonal neurobiology, Buddhist psychology, internal family systems, emotion focused therapy, psychodynamic and attachment theories, among others. Our relationship will provide a foundation for growth outside of our sessions, creating an experiential roadmap for safe, authentic connection. As you are ready, we can explore new narratives & develop practices that alleviate anxiety and depression, creating more space for acceptance, ease and joy. I enjoy finding humor with my clients, and my style often moves between in depth explorations of the psyche to discussing practical strategies for nervous system regulation and management of distressing symptoms. Above all, I hope to bring gentle curiosity and compassion to the truly complex journey of being human. Over the past 15 years, I have supported adults and adolescents in exploring meaning, deepening self awareness, and integrating new understanding and tools -- often within the context of destabilizing life circumstances. I have extensive experience working with childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I am committed to practicing with a neurodiverse and anti-racist lens. I have a Master's degree in Social Work from Columbia University in New York as well as a Master's in Counseling Psychology. I completed an in-depth teacher training in Mindful Self Compassion with UC San Diego's Center for Mindfulness and participate in ongoing trainings in clinical application of mindfulness practices with UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center. I am an avid reader and lifelong learner and am committed to deepening and sharpening my skills and therapeutic presence on an ongoing basis. I have been in private practice since 2020.
