I have been providing clinical services in the Mountain West since 2011 and independently licensed in Wyoming since 2019 and in Utah since 2022. Over the last ten years, I have worked in a variety of settings including a university-based community clinic, a community mental health center, telehealth programs, a private practice, and a hospital. Having provided telehealth therapy services for more than a decade, I am pleased to offer my clients a fully virtual practice. I worked successfully with people of all kinds on a multitude of issues ranging from adjustment/life changes and situational stress, all the way to chronic problems of the complex, life threatening nature. I have a passion for working with people who have experienced trauma and those who struggle to cope and handle their emotions effectively. My primary treatment approaches are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I provide a wide range of additional therapies such as CBT for various issues (panic, anxiety, phobia, depression, etc.), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) for PTSD, and Logotherapy among others. I use an eclectic approach in which I draw from different therapeutic techniques to best meet the needs of my clients. This versatility allows me to customize treatments to meet my clients needs. I adapt my therapy style to serve the particular needs of each client. My evidence and skills-based therapy is designed to benefit my clients long after they have left treatment. Within a skills-based approach, I can blend a more client-centered style with skills or I can do a strict skills-based treatment. Ultimately I want to make sure we are doing things that work for you. Over the years I have worked to create a balance between teaching people skills they can use for the rest of their lives and collaboratively being in the moment with clients as we explore their lived experience. It is very important to me that people feel heard and respected in addition to having their unique experience honored. Different things work for different people so it is important to establish a partnership with open communication. I can adjust to meet people’s needs and welcome feedback from clients. This is your journey and I am here to support you while hopefully making the process a little easier. I offer a free 20 minute initial consultations so we can have a chance to meet and figure out what works for you. Currently I provide therapy for people located in Wyoming, and I am working on being able to provide services in more areas in the near future.
