I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California who specializes in working with children, teens, and families. I obtained my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and my bachelor’s degree in psychology from CSU Long Beach. Although I grew up in the Bay Area in Northern California, I have spent most of my adult life living in sunny Southern California. I have a passion for helping children and families thrive and reconnect using attachment-based theory during therapy. Through my education and training, I specialized in conducting therapy with infants, preschool and school-aged children, and adolescents. My specialties include treating depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, grief and loss, attachment, interpersonal relationships, parental separation, child/adolescent disruptive or defiant behaviors, and parenting education. I take a collaborative and integrative approach to treatment that focuses on enhancing your personal and familial strengths, developing new coping strategies to manage distress, and increasing tolerance to the day-to-day stress that parents, families, children, and teens face. I use therapeutic modalities including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and family therapy. I promise to bring a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to the therapy room to allow you and your child to feel safe and supported during your therapy experience. I am looking forward to meeting with you and starting your therapeutic journey!
