I have a passion for creating a safe space for clients to explore their inner truths and fostering a therapeutic relationship that both supports and challenges clients to become their best selves. I am passionate about working with clients in the young adult (16+) and adult chapter of their lives, who may be struggling with eating and body image, substance use, anxiety, and other life struggles. I believe that full recovery is possible at any point in life. I believe that connection and attachment play an important role in how we cope with everyday stressors. As a result, I work from an attachment perspective when providing therapy. I am a licensed professional counselor and mental health services provider (LPC-MHSP, LPCC) in Tennessee (license #5615) and in Kentucky (license #287923). I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Transylvania University in Kentucky. I then completed my Master’s degree in Human Development Counseling at Vanderbilt University. I completed my practicum at The Ranch, working specifically with clients struggling with eating disorders, then continued to work in eating disorder treatment at The Renfrew Center as an intern therapist. I have gained experience with various levels of care (residential, PHP, and IOP) while working at a treatment center serving clients struggling with eating disorders, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. I value working with clients in a challenging, empathetic, and encouraging way. My therapeutic style could be described as directive and relational.
