Introduction

Seeking recovery from past abuse or trauma is a brave and vulnerable endeavor. You are not responsible for what happened to you and you deserve to heal from effects of trauma that burden many survivors. Intrusive thoughts about what happened, outsized reactions to normal life stress, relationship issues, and anxiety and depression are normal reactions to what happened to you then, but they no longer serve you now. As a trained and experienced trauma counselor, I can help you heal without the blaming and shaming messages you might have heard in the past from well-meaning friends, family, clergy, or even counselors. Trauma recovery work isn't easy, but it is worth it, and it's achievable with hard work, a good support system, and the right tools and therapies. Over the past several years, I have been blessed to witness and guide the healing journeys of many women and families recovering from the effects of trauma, abuse, life stress, and grief and loss. I have a Master's in Science in Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. In my education and career, I have focused on learning and practicing evidence-based treatment modalities to treat PTSD and trauma, such as EMDR and CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy). Reach out to me and we can form a treatment plan that is right for you! I specialize in helping adults heal from: Childhood abuse or dysfunction Betrayal trauma Intimate partner abuse Grief/loss Relationship issues Spiritual/church abuse Women's issues Parent/child relationship stress
