Therapy is an investment of your trust, time, and money. This is why I have invested (and will continue to invest) in trainings and consultation to deliver evidence-based treatments for my clients. My practice is telehealth only. My clients find that this is a convenient way of building time for therapy into their day. I'm a provider for Anthem BCBS and Caresource Marketplace. My specialty areas include: OCD: Having OCD can be debilitating and is often misunderstood--even by medical doctors and therapists. It is not uncommon for clients with OCD to have gone years feeling alone with sticky/yucky/scary thoughts in their heads. The gold standard treatment for OCD is ExRP (Exposure and Ritual Prevention - also called Exposure and Response Prevention). I am a Certified Exposure and Ritual Prevention Therapist by the world-renowned Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA) at UPenn. The success of ExRP is well-documented in research literature. I also use newer Cognitive approaches to OCD treatment, specifically Inference-Based CBT. I am also a Certified EMDR therapist and continue to learn how this modality (along with ego-state work) can aid in the treatment of OCD. If you are dealing with an experience that has left you feeling like you can't get past it, please know you aren't alone, and there are good treatments available. We are all made up of various experiences. When something yucky happens to us, it can get stuck in our brains and cause distress. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps desensitize the memories of those events. It doesn't erase what happened, but it can make the event feel less distressing and allow us to enjoy the our lives in ways we might not have thought possible anymore. EMDR has been well-researched and is considered an effective therapy for PTSD. I was trained by an EMDRIA certified trainer, and also an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant-in-Training. I seek out excellent consultation to further my learning within this modality. For more information about EMDR visit: https://www.emdria.org/about-emdr-therapy/ Finding the right therapist for YOU is important to achieving good results. If at any time after becoming my client, you feel that I'm not the right fit, I will help guide you to someone who might be. My goal is for you to feel better and for life to feel more hopeful. Making sure you get evidence-based treatment from me or someone else is what's important. FOR CLINICIANS: I provide the following services: Consultation for EMDR (EMDRIA Consultant-in-Training) Consultation for OCD cases (CTSA Certified Ex/RP Therapist and trained in I-CBT) Please reach out for group or individual rates. For Out of Network or Self-Pay Clients: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item.
