Introduction

ALL BB CLINICIANS ARE ALWAYS OPEN TO NEW CLIENTS! 336-607-5822 | Hello@bbalancedcounseling.com When Brittany Todd first founded B Balanced in Pawleys Island, SC, the practice began as a Wellness Center with an emphasis on yoga, movement, massage therapy, and life coaching. After moving back to Winston – Salem in 2016, Brittany re-opened B Balanced as private practice counseling with an emphasis on overall health and well – being. As a Winston Salem native, Brittany is passionate about supporting her community and it’s members through multiple avenues of outreach and connection. Therefore, B Balanced Counseling & Wellness embodies a clear mission of community and collaborative care, with the goal of spreading mental health awareness and bringing people together in health and wellness. Brittany’s focus of creating a unique, comfortable, accepting, safe space for all of our clients at B Balanced Counseling has led B Balanced to have a feel as the “Cheers” of mental health. Originally from Winston – Salem, Brittany Todd attended R J Reynolds High School and was an elite swimmer for the WSY (TYDE) swim team. After graduating high school, Brittany attended the University of Florida, where as a driven student – athlete, she participated in the US Swimming Olympic Trials and competed in NCAA’s, while also achieving her bachelor’s degree in Criminology, concentration in Psychology and Art History minor. As a former elite athlete, chronic overachiever, recovering perfectionist, and someone who has suffered from her own mental health obstacles, Brittany has been involved in wellness since she could crawl, and at a young age developed a purpose for mental health and well-being. Brittany has always been passionate in regards to psychotherapy and the benefits that come from self work and discovery, this passion led her to pursue further education, and in 2017 Brittany graduated from Walden University with master’s level degrees in both Clinical Psychology and Clinical Counseling, to build on her dream and mission of mental health and wellness. Brittany continues to enjoy her own personal mental health journey, practicing what she preaches daily in order to show up in the best way for herself, her clients, the BB team, and her precious loved ones. Through Brittany’s own personal experiences and higher level education, she is able to counsel from many avenues. Brittany realizes every person and family who comes to B Balanced Counseling & Wellness is unique, therefore she implements an integrative approach of multiple treatment modalities to provide her clients a positive experience while promoting progress toward their individual therapeutic goals and overall wellness. Brittany works with adolescents, teens, adults and families to address a variety of mental health struggles, challenges, obstacles, and life transitions. She exudes a great love for balance of the body and mind when it comes to reaching optimal health and aligning the mental, emotional, and physical components of wellness. ***Additionally, Brittany is contracted by the North Carolina Capitol Defender’s office as a Mitigation Specialist in criminal cases while also accepting private mitigation work as requested. She has been an expert witness in multiple criminal cases and child custody arrangements providing crucial testimony, and is certified by the NBFE as a Child Custody Evaluator and Forensic Mental Health evaluator. Brittany is consistently motivated to support clients and families in legal challenges they may be facing.*** In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two little ones, taking classes at @awareyoga, @purebarrewinstonsalem or @cyclebarwinstonsalem and going on walks around Winston-Salem with friends and family.
