A Clinically licensed Social Worker in Baltimore, MD and Washington, D.C., Brittany is dedicated to the wellness of each and every person she counsels - and even those she doesn’t formally see in session. Having earned her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Rehabilitation from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Masters of Social Work from University of Maryland - Baltimore, Brittany has served in various Social Work roles; However, you’ll often hear her say her service as a Mental Health Therapist has been the most rewarding. Once a self-taught Yogi, Brittany experienced the power of yoga and mindfulness over emotional barriers and sought to help others gain that same power. From that she founded VIBEZ Yoga, a virtual yoga studio based in Baltimore, MD. Now Brittany is equipping her clients with that same power in therapy sessions through the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method and other mindfulness techniques. In addition to having participated in mental health panels, various speaking engagements, and mindfulness events for Baltimore City Schools, Brittany currently hosts a podcast - The Honeycomb Collective Podcast - and authors an ebook entitled “The Morning Mindfulness Challenge.” In her work, Brittany creates safe spaces for highly stressed, high-achieving women of color struggling with creating space and time for self-awareness and self-care, to find peaceful balance and emotional healing. Brittany’s genuine spirit, empathetic heart, and down-to-earth demeanor is what allows her to connect deeply with not only her clients but countless others who are drawn to her because of the aforementioned. When Brittany isn't guiding clients toward healing in session, on the mat, or over the air-ways, she's attending classes and conferences to implement the most innovative practices to address her clients' needs. She brings relatability, dependability, knowledge, and a whole lot of passion to her work in session with her clients AND knows the importance of pouring from a full cup vs an empty one. Therefore, when Brittany isn’t formally working she’s spending time with her amazing son, riding her bike with her mom, being pampered at her sister’s esthetic studio, traveling with her friends, worshipping with her church family, or eating good food solo, but ALWAYS mindful of creating safe spaces for healing in color.
