Middle school and high school are exciting times of our lives, marked by identity exploration, experimentation, and formation. And yet, they can also be some of the most stressful — full of uncertainty, new expectations, and never ending pressure. There comes a point where it just feels like too much. That’s when grades begin to slip, extracurricular activities start to drain us, and our relationships with friends and family suffer, leaving us feeling isolated, lonely and misunderstood. Brittany is a Registered Art Therapist and an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in supporting preteens and teens, ages 12-16, in navigating the academic, social, relational, and formative challenges of adolescence. Her clients include those experiencing depression, anxiety, self-harm, ADHD, PTSD, family conflict, stress/burnout, adjustment disorder and others. With additional training in EMDR and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Brittany’s approach to trauma-informed care is driven by the values of compassion, collaboration and creativity. While she trusts each person is their own expert, she recognizes sometimes clients need help breaking down barriers blocking them from fully seeing and knowing themselves.
