Introduction

I am so happy you are here. The decision to begin (or deepen) therapy is a big one. It can be hard to reach out but you have made it to the first (and often hardest) step. I help clients navigate life when there have been some sort of adversity in life. This may be just a few bumps in the road or it may feel like a tsunami hitting you over and over. Whether you are experiencing symptoms of Anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, grief and loss, or behavioral needs I am here to help. I am skilled at working with a client when they have a history of trauma (knowingly or not). Trauma often can take the form of behavioral issues in children, to feeling emotionally overwhelmed, low self-esteem, anxiety, and relationship issues. I have extensive experience within the school setting and I understand the issues that may affect a child in that setting. I am able to work with schools on how to best meet your child's needs. I have spent an extensive amount of time deepening my understanding of human attachment, our nervous systems, executive functioning and childhood symptoms of trauma. I approach therapy with a person first, compassionate based lens. I believe you are the expert of your own lives and I am there to help you deepen your understanding of yourself and the world around you in a way that promotes resilience, self-awareness and understanding. When we understand why we feel the way we do and why we do what we do, we can meet ourselves with understanding, compassion and the ability to make lasting change. I work with children and families to meet each other with understanding, and an open mind. I am able to work with children with a variety of needs and their families. My job is not to change the person but to help provide skills that you can use to create a life of resilience despite adversity. All sessions will be held via telehealth. I am in network with Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna. I can provide a superbill for reimbursement for those who prefer out of pocket payment. I also have a limited number of spots for a sliding scale. I will also be partnering with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits. Mentaya is perfect if you: • Have out of network benefits • Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance • Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement • Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork! Here’s how it works: 1. Sign up for Mentaya: https://mentaya.com/inviteclient/7O9RmG4WASBIqtZ20Rw5 2. Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform. 3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up. 4. You get reimbursed by insurance! Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies. It’s risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.
