I am a board-certified child and adolescent psychologist specializing in child, adolescent, and young adult mental health, as well as expertise in couples and family therapy. My practice focuses on a systemic approach to understanding the root or foundation of stress and challenges within a family and providing an affirming space for children to grow and families to learn skills to help their youth flourish. As a multicultural psychologist, I have experience working with diverse and blended families to help individuals process and address cultural stress, navigate their identity exploration, and integrate their identities as an asset in treatment. I have over 15 years of experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy, including dialectical behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I am available to work with youth ages 5 and over and their families, as well as youth adults, to improve skills to manage stress, improve communication and resolve conflict, and feel more positive in their lives. My goal is to meet people where they are and support them through every stage of their healing journey. I have expertise in providing treatment related to depression, anxiety, trauma and stress, and communication or adjustment issues. I take a neuro-affirming approach to working with youth with ADHD, learning differences, or autism (including PDA) to help them to further develop their social skills and communication abilities, as well as learn strategies to manage school stress and advocate for accommodations around academic needs. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. Together we will identify the goals that matter most to you with the aim of reducing stress, strengthening your relationships, and growing together with your family or support system.
