Introduction

Bria is the owner and psychotherapist of TheBvav, PLLC. Hi, I’m Bria, a therapist specializing in sex therapy, relational work, and psychedelic journey preparation and integration. Raised in Texas, with much of my adult life in New York City, I now find solace in the Colorado mountains. As the daughter of an immigrant from an interfaith household infused with two different forms of purity culture, I bring a diverse, empathetic perspective to my work. I’m here to meet you where you are and help you create a life you adore, including secure, fulfilling relationships. Together, we'll build a judgment-free zone to tackle relational challenges, sexual issues, and possibly navigate psychedelic preparation and integration. Seeking therapy is a brave act. Let's start a conversation about your unique journey with a free consultation. Therapy Approach and Who I Serve I work with adult individuals, couples, and all relational setups, including polyamorous people and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I’ll guide you in communication, setting boundaries, navigating intimacy differences, and processing trauma. Through attachment work, “parts work,” DBT, and Brainspotting (an EMDR offshoot), I support clients in building better relationships with themselves and others. Credentials and Training Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University earned while engaging in sex therapy training through the Sexual Health Alliance. Psychedelic training and studies through: Psychedelics Today Embody Lab’s Psychedelic Somatic Facilitator training (in process) Psychedelic Science conference in Denver in 2023 Professional Memberships and Honors: American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) American Counseling Association (ACA). Presenter and panelist at the European Federation of Sexology conference and the Sexual Education on the Western Front conference Master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. I Delight In: Cats, dark chocolate, the outdoors, canceled plans and fun cooking or baking projects. OFFICE LOCATION: Boulder office, address TBD.
