Brenda Marwede, LCPC is the founder of Professional Family Solutions, LLC (PFS). Brenda is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and has Certifications in: Mental Health Integrative Medicine (CMHIMP), Anxiety (CCATP) , Tauma (CCTP) and Child and Adolescent Specific Trauma (CATP). Brenda earned her master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity University in Deerfield, Illinois in 1997 with emphasis in Marriage and Family counseling. Her master's thesis was on discipline. Brenda holds a double-major bachelor's degree in Psychology and Biology from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. Brenda's primary focus is on Individual, Family and Child Counseling. Brenda holds the S.T.E.P. certification for teaching parenting classes and she is certified in Theraplay©. She works with a broad spectrum of clients, including those with Attachment Disorders, ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Trauma, Anxiety and Depression. Brenda is also passionate about nutrition and the role it plays in mental health. Brenda founded Professional Family Solutions in 2007 to help families and individuals working to be the best they can be. PFS believes that no two situations are exactly alike. This is why, at PFS, solutions are tailored that will work best for each unique client situation. Brenda is married and has three adult children.
