Introduction

My experience highlights work with mixed-neurotype partners, LGBTQIA+ folks, parents of young children, and adults raised by grandiose caregivers. The people I work with are resilient, thoughtful and intuitive- many identify as neurodivergent. My approach is transparent and client-centered. I draw from humanistic theories, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and Relational Life Therapy. I bring my personality with me – I am down to earth, open-hearted, and honest. My style is casual, direct and interactive. Working with me can help you recognize patterns, deepen understanding and address problems practically. With some support, I believe that conflict is a beautiful opportunity for growth, closeness and healing. I strive to create a supportive space where you can share openly and gain new insight, while improving communication and boundaries. Sometimes lived experience matters. Here are some of my more salient identities: queer, European American, parent, first generation college grad and spouse. After nearly twenty years in the Bay Area, in 2022, I took our practice fully online. I remain lovingly connected to my Northern California networks as we grow.
