Introduction

About me? Well, let’s start with I am a human too. I have been on my own healing journey, and like us all, am still in progress. I have a zeal (aka I geek out) on all things psychotherapy. It’s a gift to merge my experiences with my passions in this work. I have such gratitude for those who allow me to be a part of their lives as their therapist. About me as a person, I have been with my husband for 19 years and we share 4 children and some fur babies together. When I’m not inundating those around me with information related to mind-science, you’ll find me watching reality TV or trying a new recipe (my alter ego is a chef). WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK WITH ME? My belief is that no matter your experiences, symptoms, diagnosis, or traumas, you have the ability to grow as an individual or couple. I will work with you to find empowerment for growth. We can take things that are frightening and make them tolerable, maybe even normal. Using attachment science, I can help you find both emotional balance and the tools necessary for creating genuine connection with yourself and others. People get stuck in dysfunction, and together, we can create change events that lead you out of that stuckness and to a strong, competent sense of self. I am trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy (level 1), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and use Emotionally Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy techniques to bring about moments of breakthrough. I specialize in cases of religious trauma, anxiety, depression, sexual issues, divorce, and life transitions (i.e., postpartum issues) with attachment-focused technique. DO I TAKE INSURANCE? Please note that I am out of network with insurance companies. As a result, I have more flexibility in treatment planning because I am not limited by the length of treatment or diagnosis that an insurance company may require of me. I require payment at each session. Some insurance plans may offer reimbursement for therapy and I can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. ***CURRENTLY TAKING NEW INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS*** Licensed by the State of Washington / MC61466273 Licensed by the State of Texas / 94871 Supervised by Sarah Rubinson, LMHC Washington / LH61357917; LPC-S Texas / 67128
