She has spent an additional year training in marriage and family therapy and addictions therapy. Brandy had the privilege and opportunity to create and implement a drug and alcohol treatment curriculum which is still used in that practice today while completing her internship. She has since obtained additional trainings and/or certifications in art, play, and sand therapies. She has been certified in TFCBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). She has added knowledge and experience from training and years in the field working with geriatric and disabled populations. She has completed training for horticulture therapy. Brandy has a history of utilizing animal assisted interventions prior to her arrival in North Dakota where she had to put that on hold for the last 5 years. Brandy is excited to return to this work and the benefits that come with combining animals and therapy with her service/ therapy dog Haize.
