Hello, my name is Brandi and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the Mankato area. I hold my Masters in Social Work from Minnesota State University-Mankato and have been a social worker in the Waseca and Mankato area with a focus on working with individuals and families since 2000. While we work together, my therapeutic style is to provide an empathic therapeutic relationship where you feel listened to, understood and supported in exploring your concerns. As you increase your awareness of your concerns, yourself and your relationships with others, the hope is that you are able to make the needed changes to begin to grow mentally, emotionally and behaviorally. My style of therapy is to assist you in learning how your past and current situations may be impacting your ability to obtain the life you wish for. It is my belief that therapy is about finding a provider that you feel comfortable with to explore yourself on a deeper level than friends and family can assist with. It is to gain knowledge of who you are and what you need from this lifetime. Many individuals speak of times it feels like their life is unraveling. Things that made sense before or beliefs they held or were told no longer serve them and even at times make them feel stuck and incapable of change.
