Fresh Sands is a mental health organization founded in 2023 by Bradley Bridges, LMSW, who brings extensive experience to the field. Brad received his Bachelor's Degree (2001) and MSW (2005) from Grand Valley State University. Brad has worked in residential treatment, conducted in-home therapy, and served as an outpatient therapist and clinical director for a group therapy practice for over 15 years. He has also conducted numerous trainings and presentations for professionals and the community on various topics related to mental health. Brad has expertise with several populations and treatment approaches. He co-authored The Complexity of Autism Spectrum Disorders in 2018 and provides individual and group therapy, parent education, and professional training to promote understanding and support for individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Additionally, Brad works with many families to address obsessive behaviors related to technology and video games. He also supports clients with experiences related to identity, sexual orientation, and relationships. Brad works closely with court systems throughout Michigan, providing valuable insights into mental health, conducting comprehensive evaluations for defendants, and developing rehabilitation programs. Brad's passion lies in working with individuals, families, professionals, and the community to better understand and improve mental health, particularly in situations where previous attempts to address mental health issues have been unsuccessful. Brad strives to provide a fresh perspective and hope in complex circumstances, building strong relationships with clients and providing unconditional positive regard. He combines evidence-based practices with innovative solutions to improve mental health for individuals and the community as a whole.
