I like telling people that "My job is to work my way out of a job." In other words, helping people learn how to cope more effectively with stress, depression and anxiety from a wide variety of sources. My goal is for you is that what you need for a happier life becomes a natural part of you. My approach: I don't judge you. I listen with empathy, compassion and respect so I really understand what's bothering you. Then I teach you specific things you can do to resolve or decrease the problem. I usually do short-term treatment for specific issues, but the number of sessions needed really varies depending on the goals we set. Some clients work on longer-term problems or move in and out of therapy as the need arises. My credentials:: I have a Master's degree in Counseling and Clinical Psychology, a Washington State Mental Health Counselor's License, am a Board Certified TeleMental Health Counselor, am Certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors, and have worked in most parts of the mental health system. My interests: I like people, technology, the Internet, growing dahlias, collecting rocks, classic cars, sci-fi & fantasy, outer space, collectible trading cards, cats, learning and inventing things. I have a good sense of humor, am a "what you see is what you get" person, and care deeply about making the world a better place. If you want to know more, just ask.
