Increasing knowledge and awareness about "self" impacts all aspects of life. Greater self knowledge may lead to enhanced insight and ease relationship stress. It may also help manage and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, navigate life transitions with confidence, wiser decisions, and more success in school and/or work environments. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior-Informed Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy are some of the strategies that will be used to help build and practice skills in exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviors while recognizing the impact each has on mental health and decision making. Through action-oriented therapy, skills will be introduced and practiced during and between sessions with a goal of affirming strengths and adjustments toward change. The work we do together is based on beliefs in the strength of the client, the client's motivation and readiness for change, and open and honest communication throughout the process. In sessions, you can expect a compassionate, direct, and collaborative approach. Our goal is to make progress. At heart, I am a strengths finder, encourager, and challenger. Let's get started working together to help you set goals for your best life. You are worth it!
