Introduction

Life often throws challenges at us that can be out of our control, but we don't have to experience them alone. It takes bravery to enter counseling, and I applaud you for taking this initial step. As you enter your counseling journey, we will go at your pace, and I will meet you where you are. My goal for my clients is to create a safe space for them to feel completely seen and heard and to embrace the best version of themselves. We will collaborate together to identify your strengths and develop skills and solutions to meet your goals. My areas of focus include working with individual children, teens, and adults on a variety of issues ranging from anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, emotion regulation, relationship difficulties, life transitions, Latinx issues, and childhood trauma. I use a person-centered approach while working with clients, which puts you in the driver's seat of our sessions. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process of self-discovery and growth. I often incorporate a combination of techniques, such as solution-focused (SFBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to offer tools and support for coping with these normal but challenging feelings. While I believe there is no one-size-fits-all method, I collaborate with my clients to develop a plan of care that is tailored to their needs. As your counselor, it is a privilege for me to join in your therapeutic process.
