Clinical Psychologist Betty Wicks
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder,

Introduction

I am licensed clinical psychologist in Texas with 15 years of experience. I graduated from Argosy University in Orange County, California in 2009. Being a native Texas, I longed to return to my home state and continue my practice in Texas. I have been practicing in Texas since 2018. I love meeting with people in a therapeutic space who want to grow and let go of pain that no longer serve them by taking practical steps toward their goals. Together we can do more and it is rewarding for me to be part of the journey. I conduct psychological testing for youth in San Antonio, Texas and surrounding areas. I have a special place in my heart for those with learning differences and who are neurodivergent. My psychological reports have a layer of advocacy and are individualized. After the testing process is complete, I typically stay in touch with the family as a consultant to make sure they get connected with services and resources. I also conduct Independent Medical Opinion evaluations and Nexus statements for military veterans. I have worked with military veterans since 2018 conducting disability evaluations and partnering with them therapeutically. Taking the leap to call is huge! When you call you can let me know what you are looking for. Feel free to state what questions you want answered and what differences you want to see in the next 3-6 months. If I can help, I will let you know! Payment for Services: As an out of network provider, this means that you pay for your services privately. In turn, I will provide you with a superbill, a receipt summing up services provided, and you may use this bill to seek reimbursement directly from your insurance company. Not using insurance allows for complete privacy of treatment records and diagnoses. I am allowed to be more flexible with treatment methods and delivery to provide an experience for you that is unique to your needs. In order for you to plan ahead, you will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate of services at the onset of treatment that estimates total cost of services for your financial planning purposes.
