Betsy Zimmerman

Resident Counselor The Relationship Center
Specialties: Relationship Issues, Life Transitions, Infidelity, Marital and Premarital, Peer Relationships,

Introduction

Sometimes life is complicated and chaotic, and as a result, you might end up feeling disconnected from yourself and others in your life. I can help with that. I believe therapy can help you to understand yourself, and how you relate to others in your life. Our relationships impact our lives in every way, and the health of those relationships are important to me. I can help you learn about your relationship patterns, and also how to change those patterns. Helping people find their inner peace, strength, and their authentic self is my favorite thing to do. I can help individuals and partners learn more about their emotional responses, focus on healthy forms of communication, and help you to develop new approaches to various aspects of your life. You are the expert on your life, and every time I get the privilege of working with individuals or those in partnerships, I am truly honored by the courage it takes to commit to the work we do together. It takes a lot to trust another person with your inner thoughts, feelings, and experiences. When you choose to work with me, I will join with you in the process of growth and development. I am not the kind of therapist that sits back and watches. I believe in being your partner and working hard with you. I promise to work with you to create an affirming space that is safe and nonjudgmental to explore the uncomfortableness of life’s stressors. If you are interested in discussing your goals further or to schedule an appointment, please feel free to contact me directly to get started!
