Introduction

Betsy Mayfield is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). She has worked in the mental health and substance abuse field for over a decade. Throughout her career, she has worked in an inpatient facility and an outpatient non-profit organization specializing in mental health and substance abuse. Betsy received her Bachelors of Science in 1999 and received her Masters of Science in Community Counseling in 2007 from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. In 2015, she furthered her interest in the Department of Transportation substance abuse field by becoming a Substance Abuse Professional. Betsy’s passion is assisting adults on their personal journey towards change, leading them to enhance their quality of life. Betsy works with individuals and/or couples to help them identify their strengths and skills. Betsy is a Gottman trained therapist and she is trained in EMDR Therapy. Her areas of speciality is working with couples who desire to enhance their relationship as well as individuals that struggle with mental health and addictions.
