I believe that a safe therapeutic relationship is key to healing in therapy. I approach this relationship with the understanding that each of us has all we need within ourselves. It is my job to guide you to that path within you through self-discovery around your past and your present. With over a decade of experience as a therapist, I use various approaches to build connections within your mind and body to support coping, healing, and growth. Therapy typically looks like getting to know yourself better, understanding how your life experiences are still impacting you today, and building confidence to make necessary changes in your life. I will support you to approach yourself with curiosity rather than judgment, as learning about ourselves and making changes is often difficult. I know from professional and personal experience that we must face (and feel) emotional pain to find healing, and I feel honored to hold space for my clients in this process. I approach therapy with the belief that we are made for connection, and I will support your healing and growth within your relationships with friends, family, partners, and your community, including your relationship with the natural world. I work with pre-teens (10 & up), adolescents, and adults. When appropriate, I incorporate parents and other family members in sessions to support my clients. I am providing Telehealth sessions at this time. I also have limited in-person spots available for outdoor therapy near Forest Park. If you're interested in scheduling a time to talk about my services and if we might be a good fit, please click the Contact button at the top of the page and fill out the information. I named my practice after my dog, Fern, who provided constant companionship throughout my own grief and trauma recovery.
