I have found that working with children actively involves working with the entire family. Trauma, in particular, rarely affects just one individual; rather, it often has a profound impact on multiple members of a child’s support system. My approach is holistic, inviting each family member into the process of growth and healing. When working with children, I primarily utilize a trauma-sensitive play therapy approach while integrating other evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I work with adults experiencing complex trauma, incorporating these methods with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and attachment dynamics to foster meaningful healing.
